Young earth creationism
Michelangelo's painting of the creation of the Sun and Moon.

The sovereignty of God is the same as the lordship of God, for God is the sovereign over all of creation. The major components of God’s lordship are his control, authority, and covenantal presence."[1]

Characteristics of God's sovereignty include:[2]

1. God is immortal and supreme in authority where nothing exists or happens outside of His will. He is the King of Kings.

2. God is unstoppable and not limited by any external force

3. God's power is absolute and unchangeable

4. God is omniscient and has control over all things as His sovereignty extends to all things, from the smallest details to the grandest events in the universe (Matthew 10:29-31). This includes the natural world, human history, and individual lives.

5. God is free to act according to His own will and purpose, without being subject to the will of any other being.
