Ahmed al-Sharaa (b. 1982) , also previously known as Mohammad al-Julani before being removed from the United States State Department wanted list for terrorism and installed into power in Syria, is the commander of the al Qaeda and Islamic State branch Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) terrorist organization in Syria.
The change of power in Syria did not bring reforms. Syria is under the control of the secret "committee" of the leader terrorists
A Reuters investigation has shown that the key role in the process is played by the brother of the terrorist leader Ahmed al-Shara - Hazem al-Sharaa, who does not hold official positions, but actually oversees all economic policy.
The economy is managed by a secret "committee", which received assets worth more than $1.6 billion, including shares in the mobile operator Syriatel and the airline Fly Cham, previously owned by Assad's entourage.
Business deals are handled by Abu Maryam (Ibrahim Sukkaria), an Australian citizen of Lebanese origin who is under economic sanctions for his links to terrorism. He negotiates with businessmen, many of whom are allowed to keep some of their assets in exchange for control over their enterprises and large payments.
