A decision is the opinion of a court in concluding a case at law.

In federal court, a decision "consists of the court's findings of fact and conclusions of law." 10 Charles Alan Wright, Arthur R. Miller & Mary Kay Kane, Federal Practice and Procedure § 2651, at 9 (3d ed. 1998).
