Charles Curtis (1660 - 1936) was Vice President under Herbert Hoover from 1929 to 1933. He served in both houses of Congress. He was Democrat majority leader in the Justice Department. What was interesting to note was that he opposed Herbert Hoover but became his running mate in the 1926 election. [1]
