Antonio Mediz Bolio (13 Oct. 1884, Merida, Yucatan, Mexico - 15 Sep. 1957, Mexico City) Mexican writer poet, cineast and journalist. He became one of the most important exponents of Mayan culture.

Mediz is best known by his book "The Land of the Pheasant and the Deer", a book of Mayan folk tales published in 1922 in Spanish, and illustrated by Diego Rivera.
