Yellowstone National Park is a National Park located mostly in the state of Wyoming, with small portions of the park in Idaho and Montana. The park is known for its geothermal features such as geysers, hot springs, and mud volcanos, which form the most visible part of the Yellowstone supervolcano, which had has erupted periodically and catastrophically over the past 1.8 million years.
