Yonatan Pollard was an intelligence analyst in the American Navy. He discovered information vital to the security of Israel in the 1980s, and was caught giving secret information to Israel. The Israeli government helped to condemn him, and he has been in an American jail since 1985. He had no trial, but was betrayed in a plea agreement. Yonatan gained Israeli citizenship in November of 1995. There is a growing movement in Israel to have Pollard released.[1]
