Douglas Andrew Mientkiewicz (born on June 19, 1974 in Toledo, Ohio) is a Major League Baseball first baseman for the New York Yankees. In his professional career he has played with the Minnesota Twins (1998 - 2004), Boston Red Soxs (2004), New York Mets (2005), Kansas City Royals and the team he is currently with, the New New York Yankees. Although he has not known as a great offensive player throughout his career, he is one of the best defensive players in the game.
