In, ''Springer v. Henry'', 435 F.3d 268, 271 (3d Cir. 2006), the Court of Appeals for the [[Third Circuit]] upheld a million-dollar jury award against a Delaware psychiatric for retaliating against a staff physician for exercising his [[First Amendment]] rights in criticizing patient care at the State hospital.
This decision was extraordinary in affirming a large award by a physician against a state governmental entity.
