Numbers [Hebrew: במדבר] is the fourth book of the Bible in the Old Testament. The Hebrew title of the book literally means "In the desert"[1]
The book is considered to have been written by Moses along with the other books of the Torah (the first five books of the Old Testament). It relates the story of Israel's journey from Mount Sinai to the plains of Moab on the border of Canaan.
Famous stories found in the Book of Numbers include the stories of Balaam's Ass (Numbers 22:22-35 ) and the Bronze Serpent (Numbers 21:4-9 ).
