Christopher Shays is a Republican in the House of Representatives from Connecticut, representing it's fourth district currently. He has endorsed Senator John McCain of Arizona for President of the United States. He entered congress in the special election in 1987 and was relected every year until 2008. He will relinquish it to Jim Himes, to whom he lost the election.
