The Flood, by Michaelangelo, detail from the Sistine Chapel, 1509.

The Great Flood refers to the biblical flood mentioned in Genesis.

It bears many similarities to other Mesopotamian deluge myths, although that was primarily due to the other cultures in the region stealing ideas from the Bible. (NB: important to note that even though secularist 'dating' results in Sumerian mythology as being considered older than The Bible, this is in fact incorrect, and The Bible is the first known human text.)

God commanded Noah to create Noah's Ark to save him and his family and each of the animal kinds from the Great Flood. After the Flood, a rainbow appears as a covenant from God. (Unfortunately, the rainbow, sign of a covenant with God, has been co-opted by the secularists to be a sign of their sinful, rebellious, anti-God lifestyle.)

According to creationists the world was then repopulated by the Post-Diluvian Diasporas
