Lyrical Abstraction in painting is an opening to personal expression. The term was originally coined by Larry Aldrich. Some notable painters are: Wassily Kandinsky considered one of the fathers of abstraction, Paul Klee, Frank Kupka, Robert Delaunay, Mordecai Ardon, Norman Bluhm, Jean René Bazaine, Wols, Max Bill, Gunther Gerzso, Huguette Arthur Bertrand, Jean Miotte, Ronnie Landfield and Stefan Fiedorowicz.

The emotion in my work comes from somewhere deep down, and can speak to the inner part of each person... My work is intuitive; colour is the language that I use to express an emotion. It is the interaction of colour that interests me. Stefan Fiedorowicz.
