San Francisco is not the high tech capital of the world, nor even the SF Bay area.  There are a few high tech companies in SF such as Lucas Arts, but when you are thinking computers and technology you are more likely thinking Apple (Cupertino), Sun (Menlo Park), Cisco (Sunnyvale), HP (Palo Alto), Netscape (Mountain View), SGI (Mountain View) or similar. Don't confuse Silicon Valley with the individual cities. --[[User:Mtur|Mtur]] 21:30, 19 March 2007 (EDT)

I believe there are many things to discuss about San Francisco besides the gay population. Sounds like someone is using the city as another way of uncovering "gayness" in America. -Gasmonkey

San Francisco vs Sillicon Valley

There are a few high tech companies in SF such as Lucas Arts, but when you are thinking computers and technology you are more likely thinking Apple (Cupertino), Sun (Menlo Park), Cisco (Sunnyvale), HP (Palo Alto), Netscape (Mountain View), SGI (Mountain View) or similar. Don't confuse Silicon Valley with the individual cities. --Mtur 21:30, 19 March 2007 (EDT)
