F4U Corsair, first produced in 1945, was primarily designed for Navy carrier operation and saw significant use over 30 years in-the-field. The F4U aircraft was instrumental in defeating the Imperial Japanese forces. Pratt & Whitney 2000 horsepower engine gave it a maximum speed of 446 mph. Weapons include six .50 caliber machine guns and could also carry eight 5" rockets. Last known use was with the Air Force of Honduras as late as the 1970’s.
