Lee Harvey Oswald was born on October 18, 1939, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He was held responsible as the sole assassin of President John F. Kennedy in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963, by the Warren Commission, although the assassination has become a popular target for conspiracy theorists.
