::I apologize, I thought that this essay was trying to discredit liberal scientists as not having real achievements, not just pointing out geniuses that happen to be liberal. Btw, Pauling is the person who came up with the property of electronegativity, and hypothesized the hybridization of atomic orbitals, he is certainly a giant in the field of chemistry. --[[User:MattF5034|MattF5034]] 21:17, 12 October 2009 (EDT)
