The AFL-CIO (American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations) is a liberal organization of 55 national and international labor unions. The AFL-CIO is a coalition partner of the liberal coalition America Votes. [1]
The mission of the AFL-CIO is to improve the lives of working families—to bring economic justice to the workplace and social justice to the United States. [2]
Support for Democrats
The AFL-CIO gives money directly to the Democrats and liberal 527 organizations. [3]
