John Adams was the second president of the United States of America, serving from 1797 to 1801. He was a federalist, and represented Massachusetts. Also, from 1789 to 1797, he served as the first vice president of the United States for George Washington.
John Adams was born on October 30, 1735, in Quincy, Massachusetts. His father was also named John, his mother was Susanna Adams and his son was John Quincy Adams. He died July 4, 1826 at the age of 91 in Quincy, Massachusetts only a few hours after the death of Thomas Jefferson. [1]
