French and Indian Wars

The Seven Years' War, also called the French and Indian Wars, was a war in which France and the United Kingdom battled for the remaining parts of North America. When the French and British fought, the French usually won because the British had Bright red coats and stayed in traditional formation, so they were easily seen and shot down. Later the British turned their coats inside out and covered them in clay. This helped a great deal and the British acquired all the land the French held except Louisiana, which went to Spain. The Treaty of Paris was signed in 1763. This ended the Seven Years' War.
