Tea Party Nation was formed in 2009 by Tennessee lawyer Judson Phillips. Phillips' involvement with the Tea Party movement began with a rally that he organized in downtown Nashville in February 2009. [1] The organization got its start as a social network for conservatives. It quickly grew to have members in every state and in foreign countries. [2] Tea Party Nation is national recognized for hosting the 2010 National Tea Party Convention in Nashville, TN. The headline of the event was an address by Sarah Palin.
