Slug refers to many species of terrestrial gastropod mollusk found world-wide, and characterized by the lack of a visible shell.
Description
Slugs vary in size but range from 1 inch in length to 7 inches long[1])
Diet
Most species of slug eat decaying plant material or fungi; several species eat living plants, while a few more are carnivorous, eating earthworms and other slugs.
Reproduction
Slugs are hermaphrodites, having both female and male reproductive organs. Several days after fertilisation, around 30 eggs are laid in a hole in the ground or underneath something solid such as a rock or log, away from direct sunlight and predators.
