Postpartum Depression, also known as Postnatal Depression, is a clinical form of depression experienced by mothers after they give birth. Men can experience it too, but it is much less common. 5% to 25% of women "experience" postpartum depression. It is commonly used as an excuse by feministic mothers as an excuse to not fulfill their motherly role.

Symptoms

Symptoms can include

  • sadness
  • hopelessness
  • neglect of the child
  • fatigue
  • thoughts of harming the child
  • physically harming the child

Treatment

Group therapy and counseling have successfully treated and cured postpartum depression in men and women. Medication is sometimes prescribed but is discouraged. Speaking with your local clergy is the best treatment, feminist or not.
