Rowan Atkinson, born January 6, 1955 (age 71), is an English comedian and actor. He is best known for his titular roles in the British television comedies Mr. Bean, and Blackadder, the later in which he played a group of characters sharing the name Edmund Blackadder who, during the course of four series, played a role in different historical periods.
Personal life
Rowan Atkinson attended Newcastle University and then later pursued an MSc in electronic engineering at The Queen's College, University of Oxford where he met Richard Curtis whom he would collaborate with throughout his career. He was raised Anglican, but has since become a Humanist [1].
