The Dark Knight Rises is an up-coming 2012 superhero film and a sequel to Christopher Nolan's previous films Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. It will be the final film of Nolan's current Batman film series and will star Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Joseph-Gordon Levitt and Marion Cotillard. The film is currently undergoing principal photography, and is scheduled for release on July 20, 2012.
