The Dark Knight Rises is an up-coming 2012 superhero film and a sequel to Christopher Nolan's previous films Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. It will be the third and final film of Nolan's current Batman film series and will star Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard. The film is currently in post-production, and is scheduled for release on July 20, 2012.
