The Yellow Sea is a body of water bordering China, North Korea, and South Korea. The Yellow River runs into it; and it runs into the Gulfs of Chihli and Liaotung as well as the Korea Strait. It has a maximum depth of 500 feet. The Battle of the Yellow Sea was fought here during the Russo-Japanese War.
