The Avengers is a 2012 superhero film, based on the Marvel Comics series The Avengers. It was released to theaters on May 4, 2012. It is produced by Marvel Studios and is the first Marvel Comics film adaptation to be distributed by Disney, Marvel's new parent company (although the logo for Paramount Pictures, former distributor of Marvel Studios films, appears on marketing materials and in the film's opening titles in place of the Disney logo). The movie is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a series of films produced independently by Marvel which are set in the same universe.
The film denies the Christian position by including the characters of Thor and Loki, who are actual Norse demigods. This is an example of the atheist and liberal bias of Hollywood.
