A spork is a form of cutlery derived by combining elements of a fork and a spoon. Indeed, the word spork itself is a portmanteau of the words spoon and fork.[1]

It is also called a "splade" or a "runcible spoon". It is what "The Owl and the Pussycat" ate their "mince and pieces of quince" with, before "hand in hand, by the edge of the strand, they danced to the light of the moon."
