Concerning any ostensible conflicts in the [[Bible]] with [[science]], Augustine mistakenly felt that the Bible should be viewed as allegory rather than [[truth]] (in fact, science is what has been repeatedly shown to be false whenever it has conflicted with the Bible (See: [[Biblical scientific foreknowledge]] and [[Limitations of science]]).
