Acupunture is an ancient Chinese form of alternative medicine which involves inserting needles into points that affect meridians of energy the Chinese have identified in the body. While studies that hint acupuncture relieves pain or some other symptoms do exist, the general consensus is that acupuncture's effects are no more than placebo effect.
