I have often found that if you ask someone randomly which way is south they'll be able to 'feel' more or less which is south and hence north etc. I think we (humans) have that ability but it is sooooo slight you dont pay attention to it and it is not needed for our survival. I've removed the claim that there are no explanations for butterfly migration other than God did it. Instead, there is now a claim that materialistic explanations are inadequate for the origin of the ability. Whether God caused it, or it evolved, there's no reason in principle to claim that we can't explain what happens. The debate is about how it came to be.
I've reinstated Andy's deletion. I can't see what was "liberal" about the content (as distinct from placement) at all. And one of the lines he deleted was originally put in by him! As for placement, I can't really see that either, but I've moved the bit about human migration down to follow the part about animal migration.
