Traveller is a science fiction role-playing game. It was first published by the Game Designers' Workshop in 1977. The rules are written to allow a group of people to take on the role of characters in a science fiction setting. It was originally notable for a unique character generation system, which produced characters with much previous experience, though it sometimes produced dead characters. Many editions of the Traveller rules exist.
