Ellsworth Kelly (born 1923) is an American abstract painter and sculptor; he is associated with Hard-edge painting, Color Field painting and the Minimalist School.

Considered one of the most significant minimalist painters working today, Kelly has created large scale wall panel installations at several major sites, including the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., the Bundestag in Berlin and the new American Embassy in Beijing. [1]
