Conan O'Brien is the former host of The Tonight Show, and the current host of Conan on TBS. He is an American Catholic of Irish descent.
Before replacing Jay Leno as host, O'Brien hosted Late Night with Conan O'Brien, replacing liberal comedian David Letterman. In early 2010, he left The Tonight Show due to disagreements over timeslots, as NBC wanted to put Jay Leno back at 11:35pm, thereby moving The Tonight Show to 12:05. O'Brien was also a former writer on The Simpsons and Saturday Night Live. He is a member of the Democrat Party and supports gun control.
