Removed everything written by people with no understanding of physics. Not much left. Even AiG has rejected the nonsense!

Entropy is a measure of disorder or information content in a system, first postulated by [[Lazare Carnot]] in 1803.

Creationist [[Henry Morris]] argues that the law of Entropy, also known as the [[Second Law of Thermodynamics]], disproves evolution: "...the Second law, however, that wipes out the theory of evolution. There is a universal process of change, and it is a directional change, but it is not an upward change."<ref>http://www.icr.org/index.php?module=articles&action=view&ID=51</ref>

The second law of thermodynamics states that entropy will always increase over time within a closed system, defining a closed system as one in which neither matter nor energy may enter or leave.

Evolutionists argue that the second law allows local decreases of entropy at the expense of an equal or greater increase elsewhere.  But it is unclear where or why there would be a larger increase in entropy elsewhere to offset a corresponding local decrease in entropy.  Evolutionists also argue that while the "order" of a species is subjectively greater due to evolution, this is not a thermodynamic concept as originally proposed in the [[Second Law of Thermodynamics]].  But the definition of entry above is not confined to the flow of heat in thermodynamics systems.
