Transgender is a term referring to people who's tendencies diverge from the traditional gender roles. For instance, a person may feel they have been born into the wrong body, and undergo a sex change operation to obtain the appearance of the opposite sex.
Being transgender does not imply a specific form of sexual orientation (i.e. homosexual, bisexual, heterosexual, or asexual).
