Libra, the "Balance" (or weighing scales), is a constellation of the Zodiac, and, in astrology, one of the twelve zodiac signs. Its name is Latin for "The Scales, Equality". It is the seventh astrological sign, and comes between Virgo the Virgin and Scorpio the Scorpion. As a sun sign, it represents the dates of September 24 through October 23. As a constellation, it lies between Virgo (to the west) and Scorpio (to the east).
