Leslie Johnson (June 16, 1942 - January 17, 2009) is the founder and publisher of the jazz newspaper The Mississippi Rag.
Biography and career
In 1973 Johnson started The Mississippi Rag a traditional jazz newspaper which was published as a newspaper until 2007 when it became an internet publication.
Death
Johnson died in Minneapolis, Minnesota on January 17, 2009 after battling cancer for over three years. Her publication The Mississippi Rag will no longer be published.
