He resides in San Francisco and has focused his resources on promoting Global Warming.[1] Steyer spent $50 million trying to elect Democrats in 2014. He supports Hillary Clinton for President.

In 2017, Steyer pulled $20 million to release a campaign against U.S. President Donald Trump to impeach him, his website NeedtoImpeach.com mentioned that the 3 million liberals has affiliated with the campaign.[2][3]
