:::::::In my opinion, a much better argument in favor of labeling Marshall as a deep stater would be the fact that he was Secretary of State when China fell to communism. That alone was enough to convince Joe McCarthy that Marshall was in fact a closet communist. I don't know much about Truman's pre-1945 China policy, so I can't comment on that. --[[User:Geopolitician|Geopolitician]] ([[User talk:Geopolitician|talk]]) 11:53, 4 September 2019 (EDT)
