Michael Harold “Mike” Coffman (born March 19, 1955, age 71) is the current mayor of Aurora, Colorado, having been the United States Representative for the 6th congressional district of the state from 2009 to 2019. He is a member of the Republican Party. Coffman was first elected to the House in 2008.[2] He served in that position until 2019, when he lost in the 2018 midterm elections due to abandonment by the GOP establishment[3] and Jason Crow (Democrat) was elected to take his place. Previously, he was Colorado's Secretary of State.[2]
