This verse is illustrative of your ceaseless misreading and misinterpretation of scripture. No, the scripture is not a random collection of words that you can extract three or four words here and there to support an errant doctrine. Let's examine the full context here:
 +
{{cquote|5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his [the Father's] mercy he [the Father] saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;
 +
6 Which he [the Father] shed on us abundantly through [his Son] Jesus Christ our Saviour;
 +
 +
7 That being justified by his [the Father's] grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.}}
 +
These same three lines introduce two doctrines: (1) the Gospel of Grace, and (2) eterenal life, which you have studiously avoided any serious discussion of.  There is no reference to water baptism, at all, in this context or any of the three verse. It is the Father's mercy and grace shed upon us by the blood of his Son, Jesus Christ. [[User:RobSmith|RobS]][[User talk:RobSmith|De Plorabus Unum]] 15:21, 30 November 2019 (EST)
