Galloway married Elaine Fyffe in 1979, separating in 1987 and divorcing in 1999. In an Islamic non-legally binding ceremony, Galloway married [[Palestinian]] biologist Amineh Abu-Zayyad in 1994, with the couple being legally married in 2000, divorcing in 2009. In another non-legally binding Islamic ceremony, Galloway married Rima Husseini in 2005. Galloway married Dutch-Indonesian anthropologist Putri Gayatri Pertiwi in 2012, with Pertiwi being 27 at the time and Galloway being 57.
Galloway has 6 children. Daughter Lucy (b. 1982) with Fyffe, sons Zein (b. 2007) and Faris (b. 2011) with Husseini, and son Toren Mustaqim (b. 2014) and daughters Orlá Dhien (b. 2017) and Òban Amaria (b. 2020) Pertiwi.
