Read the article [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Church_attendance Church attendance] and pay particular attention the section entitled '''"Attendance by country"'''.

You will see that Russia is among the 10 lowest countries in church attendance. Until this substantially changes, I will continue to have a pessimistic view of the future of Russia and therefore not think about Russia much as I prefer to think about noble and admirable things which the Bible says that Christians should do as per Philippians 4:8 ("Finally, beloved, whatever is true, whatever is honourable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is pleasing, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.").

Unfortunately, when the topic of Russia is brought up, the two top of mind things that come to mind are its high percentage of drunkards in its population, its demographic crisis, its ridiculous war in Ukraine and its low rate of weekly church attendance. And of course, given that Russia has one of the lowest percentages of indoor toilets in the developed world for households that comes to mind also.

At the same time, one of my closer friends who I speak to regularly is moving to Crimea and I do plan on visiting him and will likely visit St. Petersburg too.

Bottomline: Until Russia's church attendance figure moves up to at least 30% of people who attend church regularly instead of its very low rate of church attendance of less than 10%, I am not going to read your post to me. Because there is not much sense paying a lot of attention to a country that is a weak major power that will only get weaker with time as per the international relations scholar John Mearsheimer. And at least in my estimation, only God will provide Russians with the wisdom and strength to turn their declining country around. I do hope you understand my position in this matter. God gives us so much time and we have to be good stewards of it.

But feel free to reach out to me should Russia's church attendance rise to at least 30%. [[User:Conservative|Conservative]] ([[User talk:Conservative|talk]]) 17:32, April 14, 2025 (EDT)
