The Sabre toothed tiger is an extinct large feline predator that lived during the Pliocene and Pleistocene epochs (2.5 million years ago to 12,000 years ago). They went extinct around the same time as the Woolly mammoth. They were a dangerous predator with 8 inch fangs, easily capable of killing even large mammals. Young Earth Creationists reject mainstream science and state that these beasts went extinct during the Great Flood.
