Fabric and cloth are terms referring to a textile.
A textile is a flexible material made from yarn or thread which may be artificial or from a plant or animal fiber. The textile may be woven, knit or crocheted. Common plant fibers are cotton and flax. Common animal fibers are wool and silk. Synthetic fibers are nylon and rayon.
