Barack Hussein Obama, slated to be inaugurated on January 20, 2009, sought to be considered as a fellow black by African American voters. For example, he awkwardly referred to black teenagers 30 years younger than him as "brothers", declaring that "brothers should pull up their pants."[2]
Some have said Obama will be the first black president, but without adequate proof.[1] He is also the first Affirmative Action President.
