Fictional Character Biography
Luke was born to Padme Amidala and Anakin Skywalker in the Polis Massa medical facility, along with his twin sister, Leia. Obi-Wan Kenobi took him to the remote system of Tatooine, where he could be hidden from the Galactic Empire. He was cared for by his aunt and uncle, Owen and Beru Lars, while Obi-Wan continued to watch over him. After his former caretakers were cruelly murdered by Stormtroopers seeking C-3PO and R2-D2, Luke wanted to "learn the ways of The Force and become a Jedi like my father."[1] He soon was caught up in the Rebel Alliance, and after help from Kenobi's Force ghost, Luke destroyed the first Death Star.
