In 2009, VoteVets political television ads appeared promoting a candidate and an  environmental agenda. Environment is a [[DNC]] promoted issue and VoteVets stated goal is to be military centric, which is deceitful. A couple of washed-up, retired generals and VoteVet board members areVoteVet TV ad spokesmen. Former Democratic presidential candidate and retired Gen. [[Wesley Clark]] and General Batiste both made incorrect battlefield assessments regarding their views on Iraq, both were against the [[Surge]].
